Forté Asset Limited was incorporated as Forte Asset Management Limited in April 1997. The company commenced operations as a private limited liability company, licensed to carry out a range of sophisticated financial services, which was mainly conventional investment services of stockbroking and asset management.

Over the years, the company established a pedigree of professionalism in business and operations and has ranked as one of the leading lights on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. Currently, the company is in a repositioning process. It is being repositioned towards becoming a leading investment banking company, with a vision of being of the top four boutique investment banking firms in Sub-Saharan Africa within the next five years. The process is being driven by a new management comprising professionals with skills and experience in the field, spanning many years at various levels.

Forté Financial is a dealing member on the Nigerian Stock Exchange and has been in operations, providing conventional stockbroking as well as asset / portfolio management services. Also, with our re-engineered business, driven by our acquired and developed investment banking skills, we now provide a wide range of services to our diversified client base. These services include Capital Market Management, Asset & Wealth / Portfolio Management, Equity Trading Services, Business Advisory, Research & Development as well as Training Services.

Our capitalization as at date stands at about N600 million. It is also worthy of mention that the company is currently in a private placement exercise to shore up our capitalization to N5 billion within the year 2008
